Dance On Film: Ballet Russe Documentary

As part of the 2010 Anaheim International Dance Festival, Dance on Film at Chapman University will host a screening of Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine's acclaimed documentary, Ballet Russe, which traces the rise and fall of the revolutionary 20th century company known for its collaboration among contemporary choreographers, composers, artists, and dancers. The evening is also scheduled to include a question-and-answer session with former stars of the company, and a post-film reception.

Guest curated by Greg Escalante, Art Shack is a group exhibition in which artists such as Don Ed Hardy, Shag, Paul Frank, and Mike Shine combine art and architecture. Explore surf shacks, tattoo huts, retro shanties and more, and immerse yourself in 25 different worlds crafted by the artists.

Many shacks will be enterable, and some will include interactive components such as music and film. Don Ed Hardy’s Tattoo Hut will feature an activated tattoo machine.

Davis Barber's 10 Squared Film Festival
