Luis Barajas

Luis Barajas Ochoa, known as BARAJASO, is a muralist and illustrator born in Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico, and raised in Santa Ana, California. He transforms public spaces into bold, story-driven works of art. His work is largely community-driven, collaborating with neighborhoods, schools, small businesses, and historical public art projects. His work is inspired by the city’s walls, people, and architecture, as well as the colors and forms found in animals and nature, especially birds and circular compositions full of movement and flowing shapes. Guided by core values of perseverance, passion, focus, and commitment, Luis uses art to rise above adversity and inspire others, crafting murals and illustrations that evoke emotion, uplift communities, and turn everyday spaces into powerful visual experiences.
