Bravo! Player Guild proudly presents The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, an adaptation of the popular book Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief written by Rick Riordan. Local youth talent from across Southern Orange County delivers this high-energy show at the Lake Forest Performing Arts Center.

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical follows Percy Jackson, a teenager who newly discovers he is a demigod and the son of Poseidon. When Zeus’s master lightning bolt is stolen, Percy is framed for the crime and must embark on an epic quest across America with his friends Annabeth and Grover to find the real thief, stop a war among the gods, and embrace his newfound powers. Featuring an energetic, pulse-pounding rock score by Rob Rokicki and a witty, action-packed script written by Joe Tracz, the electrifying show includes high-octane anthems like “Prologue/The Day I Got Expelled,” “Drive,” “Strong,” and “Good Kids.”

Founded by Executive Director Tiffney Beckloff, Bravo! Player Guild offers professional-level training and performance opportunities for children and youth. This production highlights Bravo!’s 2026 Breakthrough Season, emphasizing courage, friendship, and standing up for what’s right. This is Bravo!’s first show, featuring three unique casts and six performances.

***The Sunday, September 27th show at 1 PM is a Benefit show and has a pre-show VIP Reception purchase option for the Bravo Players Foundation. The VIP Reception includes food, beverages, a gift, a silent auction, and a meet-and-greet. Benefit show proceeds go to the Bravo Players Foundation to support youth access to arts through scholarships, abilities, and underwriting the MainStage productions.
