Grand Opening of The International Surfing Museum

The International Surfing Museum is proud to announce the grand opening of our new home in the heart of Surf City USA® at 525 Main Street in Huntington Beach. This milestone marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to preserve, celebrate, and share the rich history and culture of surfing with visitors from around the world.

To commemorate this special occasion, our inaugural exhibition celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Professional World Championship Surfing and honors the remarkable legacy of Peter “PT” Townend, the first-ever World Professional Surfing Champion. The exhibition features historic photographs, championship memorabilia, surfboards, archival footage, personal artifacts, and never-before-displayed items that tell the story of the evolution of professional surfing over the past five decades.
