Ernesto Salcedo Residency

The Language of Music (for grades K-12): Learn basic musical tones, rhythms, notation, musical form and instrumental techniques. Students develop the motor skills required to play Orff xylophones, conventional folk instruments and perform basic dance movements. Historical and cultural context are provided through storytelling and song. Content can include pre-Hispanic music, traditional Native American music and the influence of African and European cultures.
