A personal connection to City of Hope grounds this piece in lived experience and deep intention. Through scale and movement, it reflects the weight and resilience of the cancer journey-where even in the hardest moments, support, compassion and hope rise to carry us forward.

Claire Pedroza is a multidisciplinary artist based in Orange County, known for bold, high impact work that blends elements of nature and whimsy with striking design. She transforms client ideas and brand identities into story-driven statement pieces, drawing on hand-lettered sign painting and traditional techniques. In addition to her studio practice, Claire teaches elementary art and dance enrichment classes, sharing her creativity with the next generation.

“Hope is a Rising Tide,” is a large-scale public art installation presented by City of Hope Orange County in partnership with Lido Marina Village. This outdoor gallery transforms the destination’s parking structure into a vibrant, walkable art experience featuring works from from 11 Southern California artists, including one cancer survivor. Each piece reflects themes of hope and healing, creating a curated collection designed to uplift and inspire visitors. As the first and last touchpoint for more than one million visitors each year, the structure now carries more than arrivals and departures. It carries a story rooted in momentum, resilience, and community strength.
