The Graduates is a piece based on a fun tradition of Dana Hills High School seniors taking one last ride from Ocean Ranch to their graduation ceremony at the high school via scooters and skateboards. It is a tradition Christina hopes will never disappear. Two of her own children had the opportunity to participate in the tradition.

Christina Bartel is a longtime resident of Dana Point. She has owned and operated two art galleries that included artwork utilizing charcoal and collages.
